Fish-Skull® Captain Dubiel’s Pop-N-Fly

Renowned guide Captain Gary Dubiel has developed the perfect technique and rig for catching giant fish on the fly. While originally designed for redfish, the Pop-N-Fly has proven to be phenomenal for numerous other saltwater and freshwater species.

Mine will be showing up in the mail today. Cant wait to try them out. May not be the most pure form of fly fishing, but Im desperate for a redfish on summer vacation.

I asked the IGFA about this technique a few years ago. I was told by them that a hookless popper in front of a fly was not an IGFA legal rig. I am only mentioning this if someone was interested in a world record or fishing in a club or tournament that followed IGFA rules. I do not understand their position, but that is what they said.
